Healthy Heart Clinic

The Healthy Heart Clinic is held on either Thursday or Friday mornings, by either Kate Musson or Roz Ware.

This clinic devotes time specifically to improving the health of patients who have had (or who are in danger of getting) heart and circulation problems.

Who should attend?

Patients with:

Ischaemic Heart Disease (IHD) : angina, heart attacks, bypass or angioplasty operations.
Cerebrovascular Disease (CVD) : strokes or TIAs (mini-strokes).
Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) : poor circulation, claudication.
Heart Failure :
Heart Arrythmias : atrial fibrillation.

What do we do?

We take relevant blood and urine tests, monitor blood pressure, and do ECGs in the clinic. We also counsel patients about smoking, obesity, and general fitness.

The clinics give you an opportunity to discuss relevant test results, as well as gain information about diet, lifestyle and symptom control plus lots more. We are always happy to answer (or try to) questions about this subject.
