Appointments
Appointments with a doctor last 10 minutes - if you think you will need longer please book a double appointment. You can book a routine appointment with the doctor or nurse of your choice up to six weeks in advance. We have some appointments reserved every day for urgent problems. When these are used we see urgent problems after evening surgery on a 'first come first served basis'.
While it is always possible to see a doctor or nurse on the same day for things that need to be seen, we cannot guarantee that this will be with a doctor or nurse of your choice.
If for any reason you are unable to keep an appointment, please telephone and cancel as soon as you can so that the appointment can be used by someone else.
Visits
If you are unable to get to the surgery and require a home visit, please phone the surgery between before 11.00. It is difficult to arrange late visits once the doctors have started their rounds.
If at all possible patients should attend the surgery. Often you will be seen sooner if you can come to the surgery.
Telephone Calls
If you would like a doctor to ring you please call 01760 721211 or 01760 721473 before 11.00. The receptionist will tell you who is available and will arrange for your doctor, or the duty doctor, to call you back.
Results
The receptionists will usually be able to tell you if your test results are normal. However, they cannot interpret results for you and will often arrange for a doctor to ring you, or arrange an appointment for you to see your doctor, so that you can discuss details.
